Who is Kosherist?

Hi, I'm Eliyahu, the Kosherist. I'm a content creator, food photographer and social media manager, who loves my job because it's so much fun to create mouthwatering content. I'm always excited to try new foods, kosher restaurants, and cuisines. I'm from New York but I travel a good amount - you’ll find me in Israel pretty often - so here you can expect to see some great kosher restaurants from New York, Israel, and beyond.

My mission is to help people around the world understand that eating Kosher food doesn't have to be boring. There are so many great kosher restaurants out there, waiting for you to discover them! If you need restaurant recommendations, you've come to the right place. My blog is all about restaurant reviews, cool kosher experiences, and kosher travel destinations.   • In English, a person who does something is called an “ist”. Think scientist, violinist.. so Kosherist just made sense.

  • Yes, all the restaurants I visit and feature are Kosher certified. But sometimes things change and restaurants may lose their Kosher certification, so please double check before eating anywhere.

  • I’m from New York but I travel a good deal, so expect to see kosher restaurant reviews from New York, Israel, Europe and more.

  • The interviews are another way of showcasing kosher restaurants. We- my talented friends and I- like to interview restaurant owners and chefs to get their story.

  • That’s a tough question! I think everyone has a different palate and likes different foods, so I don’t like to compare.
